This is a series of instructional videos about Ricky’s experience in setting up and mixing Tchaikovsky’s Decorating the Christmas Tree scene from the famous Nutcracker Ballet, Opus 71, No.1 from Act 1.
There are two parts so far. In Part 1, Ricky analyzes the audio from 2 great recordings of The Nutcracker – Valery Gergiev’s conducting of the Kirov Orchestra, and Simon Rattle’s conducting of the Berliner Philharmonik. The first video can be accessed by clicking on this link.
