Cubase Pro 10 product review by Ricky Molina

Steinberg-Cubase-Pro-10-EDU-Audio-MIDI-DAW-Software

I’m primarily a PreSonus Studio One Pro 4.0 user, and the reason I checked out the recent version of Cubase by Steinberg (which is owned by Yamaha), was that I watched a few YouTube videos showcasing some of the new features which are indeed impressive – and because I was never able to successfuly fully integrate my Yamaha Motif XF6 with Studio One.  (There are possible work-arounds, and if you have to know of one and can explain it to me in layman”s speak, then I’d appreciate it tremendously).  While the sounds and arps on the Motif are exceptional, I can’t seem to get my DAW to pull the internal sounds from the keyboard from the recorded midi in the DAW.  That is, I can record midi from the Motif into Studio One or Cubase, but can’t get the midi to tell the keyboard to play the patches from the hardware.  Cubase Pro 10 can do this, but as my YouTube explains, there are simply too many other obstacles that I ran into.
